As the owner and lead technician of Roy's Furniture Repair, I bring over twenty years of dedicated experience to every project. My journey in furniture restoration began in 2000, when I had the privilege of working alongside seasoned professionals who taught me the fundamentals of the craft.
What started as learning the basics evolved into a passion for self-improvement and mastering advanced techniques. I've specialized in wood repair, troubleshooting, and problem-solving for both power and manual recliners, while also providing upholstery services on a case-by-case basis.
After earning recognition as a 5-star technician with several established companies, I made the decision to establish my own independent practice. Each told me the manufacturer sent the wrong parts and the work could not be done...""I had multiple companies over a two-year period who failed to replace the backs on my leather sofa using materials sent by the manufacturer. Each told me the manufacturer sent the wrong parts and the work could not be done. The manufacturer disagreed and I was stuck in the middle with two options; 1) live with the defects, or 2) send the entire collection back to the place of purchase. I love the collection, and out of a desire to keep it, I made one last attempt to find a highly skilled professional who could complete the repairs. That professional was Roy (hands down). In one visit, he was able to successfully replace the backs on the sofa that the three previous technicians deemed impossible. I am ecstatic. He's highly skilled, knowledgeable, and professional.
